Two HUGE thumbs up for GM...

Two HUGE thumbs up for GM...
For those who followed my saga of battling Chevy - the entire story may be found here

I sent the defective BCM back to Chevy Engineering in Warren, MI to an Art Spong who is with "Service Operations" so they might evaluate exactly what killed the original. After giving it (as he said) a thorough microscopic exam, they don't really know why it died. He also said none of the Engineers there (even the C5 specialists) can figure how my radio connection killed the BCM. Indeed, looking at the schematic of the vehicle, there shouldn't be any way it could.

Here's where it gets really good!

He told me to contact my local Chevy Dealer (I have a local one that does a LOT of Vettes) and have them order an extra BCM. Once they have it in hand, I am to go ahead and reconnect the radio. If the BCM fries again, GM will replace it free of charge.

He said it would help to know what's happening, not only for me but for other customers.

GM has restored my faith!! http://www.digitalcorvettes.com/foru...ilies/beer.gif
