what code is PO442 on a c5 2001
 

this code cam up as the check engine light came on it was the code PO442HC i cleared it and the engine light went off any ideas what this is?????

This may be a little late but code PO442 is for a small leak detected in the evaporative emissions (EVAP). The information is from the GM 2000 Corvette shop manual. Possible corrections: 1. loose, incorrect, or leaking fuel tank cap 2. disconnected, improperly routed, kinked or damaged EVAP purge lines 3. damaged EVAP component 4. damaged fuel pressure connection valve or a loose, missing or damaged dust cap.
