C6 Headlight Problem

My '05 C6 has headlight problems. I can't get my lowbeams to turn on. My highbeams work. I have replaced the battery and all of my fuses and relay are fine. I can get the lowbeams to turn on occassionally, but they mostly do not turn on. I can't figure out why. It is happening to both lights simultaneously.

Does anyone have a clue?

What about the switch itself?

Difficulty of checking switch

What level of difficulty is it to check to see if the switch is bad? Does it come apart fairly easily?

Interior Door release buttons not working

I don't know if this is related to the headlamp problem, but I have an additional electrical problem. The interior door release buttons no longer work. The only way to open the doors from the inside is by using the emergency release handles. This problem started shortly before the headlights started failing. Could these problems be related? How do I address the door problem?

Regards, Rob

I think they are not related. But that could possibly occur somehow. The low beams may have poor wiring connections which causes the occasional turning on/off, have you tried checking on them?
