Hey, I have a 05 C6 vette, my FOB's started giving me problems about 5 or 6 months ago.. Intermittently working and sometimes not.. I changed the battery and that seemed to work for about 1 day,then it was back to, "No FOB's detected.. So I would use my key to open the trunk and pull the door release and slid the FOB in the slot in the glove box.. Finally I got tired of that, and took it to the dealership and bought a new FOB's (150 bucks), and paid 90 bucks for them to program it.. So after an hour plus and minus 240 bucks, everything seemed to work fine. I drove around, ran errands and parked my car in the garage.. The next day I get ready to leave and the FOB's is not working!!!! Im auto-pissed now.. So I cancelled everything and had to go thru the same old **** to start the car, then I drove right back to the dealership..I turned the car off ,walked right into the Service Dept. and explained what happened ,so a tech go out with the FOB's, but now its working.. They checked the programming ,and it was good, then they said, they could do a electrical diagnosic on it for 360.00 to see if they can find whats going on..Not!!! so i took my car home and for the past week, the FOB's has"nt worked at all.. DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS!!!!! And is this common?

On your first trip to the dealer, did they tell you that you needed new fobs? Or did you tell them you wanted to buy new fobs? If the former, I would take it back to them and tell him that their fix didn't work and you don't feel obligated to pay them more money to fix it. Either they fix it or give you your $240 back.
