No FOB Found Readout

It failed to start again Tues. night and again on Thurs. This is the second time in a week it has done this. Replaced the engine battery a few days ago. I replaced both of the Fob batteries two weeks ago. It would start every once in a while but couldn't depend on it starting. Had my wife sit in the car with the number 2 fob and it would start every time. Put #2 in a foil bag and left in the house and tried #1. Even as I walked around the front of the car, the readout changed to no fob found. Traded off doing this several times with the same results. # 1 would open the doors, deck lid, etc. but not start it. Just the message of no fob. Tried reprograming the fob as per manual by placing it in the slot facing passenger side and having the good one near. Manual says it will beep when programing is completed. It would never beep. But the DIC was reading that it was ready to program fobs #3 and 4. The fob fits in the glove box slot very loosely which makes me wonder it it should fit snuggly. To shorten the story, bought another new battery last night and it started 3 times in a row, so I ventured out in it and only restarted it once but all seemed well. Guessing now that the batteries had been on the self to long even though they both read 3.05 volts. The latest new one read 3.34 to 3.35. The voltage on #2 still reads 3.04 and will start it. Don't know if wrapping the #2 fob in foil will keep it from reading but have placed it in the foil and in the glove box as a stand by and will be trying to drive it with several stops today. Just need it to be dependable since we are down to one car for a few days.

were you able to resolve the issue?
I am coming across the same thing, new battery in the car and both fobs have a new battery, yet sometimes it will not recognize the fob.

You responded to an over seven year old thread. Doubt you'll get a response.
