Default Zoomers Review

I have a 2006 A6 Tranny Vette. I've probably spent more than 4 month looking for a catback system w/t x-pipe and no DRONES. I was about to purchase the Corsa Sports, but they reported that there are drones for A6 tranny and the x-pipe doesn't fit. So I was reading some of posts in the corvetteforum.com, and found "Zoomers." Here are 2 things that they guaranteed (meaning money back):
1. All of their system's are 100% drone free.
2. Substantial rwhp gain (claimed their mule car went from 330 rwhp to 350 rwhp).

Those two claims were hard to believe. I've never heard of 20 rwhp gain from a catback system. And most people would agree that it sounds like some sort of scam. So here is what I did. I did a before dyno run test to get base run from a different tuner (AMS). My base run showed 340 rwhp, which is 10 rwhp better than stock (I have a SLP intake). Therefore, if their claim is valid, my after dyno run should have at least 360 rwhp.

The verdict:
1. Their system is 95% drone free. In crusing speed, it's almost quiet as stock system. Between 1500 to 1600 rpm, I did notice slight drone. But, it actually sounds kind of nice, because when I slowly floored the accelerator, you get a nice deep base sound (drone) in those rpm range and then it's a pure growl. On WOT, it sounds amazing. My neighbor had a 2000 Lambo Diablo, and it's very similar to that sound. I give it a 9 out of 10.
2. I've gained 10 rwhp after installing the system. So it's half of what they claimed. To be completely fair, when I did the after dyno test, it was 12 degrees warmer (not sure how much hp difference that would cause), and I didn't put any additional miles for the ECU to recognize the modification (lot of people told me that it takes some miles for the modification to gain full hp gain). Being a skeptic, I am going to due another dyno after I put 200 miles on the car. Overall, I give it a 8 out of 10.
3. Now, this part is completely subjective. I love the look and the on the full throttle sound, I feel like I'm driving a race car. 10 out of 10.

Overall, I would give it a thumbs up for the Zoomers Catback system. Here are some pictures and dyno charts.

Default RE: Zoomers Review

We do Guarantee performance and offer your money back if you feel Zoomers did not improve the performance of your vehicle. As far as sound, it is far to subjective a thing to guarantee. All I can tell you is that this this system is not obnoxious. It sounds very refined and tuned, with very minimal resonance, in the dreaded drone rpm range of the automatic trans. The good new is that it does make power and torque... The Vette seems to respond to this mod quite well... Here are some more pics and the HP and torque curves on Jooyoung99's C6.
