Tinted windows
I was reading in the owners manual that i should not tint the windows, because it can mess up the GPS for the navigation.. Has anyone experienced this??? Or has anyone not had any problems with tint at all???

RE: Tinted windows
GPS is done through the front window my 06 side windows are tinted to the darkest permitted by law and rear window is dark I think they call it limosine anyway it's dark.I have no problems with gps just don't put a banner on the front window.

RE: Tinted windows
Some tinting kits use a trace element of metallic particles -- want to say it is tungstun but can't quite remember -- regardless, it would probably interfer with GPS signal reception

RE: Tinted windows
That is what that is used in a incodesent light bulb.Toungstone just like any other metal can interfear with a microwave, satilite signal.I have never heard that before brcause it is very exspensive.Just keep the front window clear and you will have no problems that GM did not already cause.Glade to hear your car is working fine and my friend at another GM dealer ship who only deals with corvettes told me the other day they are correcting a signal problem with the 06's and 07's .He was just told the other day have fun.
