C7 GS and Z06 Tires

Hello,
I’m stuck in tire hell - confused AF about the direction I need to take for better traction. I have a c7 Grand Sport, supercharged and getting very poor traction. I replaced my stock tires with a set of Conti Extreme Contacts... they of course did provide more traction- but they look kinda awkward on the car... I’m noticing the sidewall is a bit rolled inward and it lets off the appearance that the tire doesn’t fit the wheel. They are the exact size that the car originally came with... I’m hearing that Contis just “kinda fit that way.”

My tire guy is willing to swap to whatever I ask, even though I’ve put about 100 mi on them. So I’m down to the wire trying to pick my next set of shoes.

- the Michelin cup 2 come with c7 Z06s and all I ever hear is they never have enough traction

- the proxes have great reviews, but nothing seems to fit my stock wheels. They make a 315/30/20 but it’s designed for an 11” wheel (I have 12” wheels)

- the Contis not only look awkward, but they definitely cannot seem to keep 700 wheel hp planted whatsoever

So, can anyone here offer ****ty remarks, and, or, some good advice... or something? Basically looking for input from dudes with similar traction issues with their Z06s and how they’ve improved them. I’m only doing very spirited canyon driving, no track, no drag racing. I want a tire with positive driver input and stability. I dont really drive in the rain so I dont give a damn about that.

Have a nice weekend.
Thank You.

Welcome to the forum. You might give somebody at Tire Rack a call to see if they have any suggestions. I've heard they're pretty knowledgeable.
