C7 stress cracks in the windshield

I'm new to the forum and wondering if anyone else is having a problem with stress cracks in the windshield? I have a 2015 C7 coupe. 6 months ago I notice a slight crack in the upper corner of the driver side windshield. There was no sign of impact. The crack appeared to be on the inside. It was slight, and about 4 inches long. I took the car back to my dealer, Castriota Chevy in Hudson Fl. The service manager looked at it for 3 seconds and said ''a rock hit it and it's not a stress crack. He told me to call my insurance company and go to Safelight as that's where they would send the car to be repaired. At Safelight they advised there was no evidence of an impact to the windshield and it appeared to be a stress crack. They replaced the windshield and my Corvette museum insurance, payed me back for the 1385 dollar bill. I told them I believed this was a warranty issue but they said ''good luck with that''. Yesterday I go out to the garage and there is another crack in the same spot, again, with no apparent impact. I brought the car back to Safelight and they advised it was a stress crack but they would warranty it. I then went back to Castriota and again saw the same service manager. He advised it may be a stress crack but since safelight installed the windshield, it was their problem. I advised there's obviously a problem with the car and was told I have to meet with a service rep. I'm awaiting that meeting at this time.
Sorry for the long post but I had to vent. The car has only 3000 miles and the targa top has only been off once, the day I got the car then put back on just to see how it worked. I'm worried that even if the windshield is replaced, this will continue to occur and eventually the insurance company will no longer pay for it.

Welcome to the forum.

Stay after them to determine the cause. Haven't heard of this problem before.
