I took my car to the dyno! Check out how much power these 2 little mods added WITHOUT a tune!

Let's talk about radar detectors...

The problem with muting based on GPS is some day a cop might be sitting in that location running radar. Personally I will stick with my Valentine One which I've had for a number of years (had it upgraded once which took care of the false alerts due to automatic braking and automatic cruise control units on other cars) because it has location arrows that tell you where the radar is and how many radars there are.

Absolutely nothing wrong with the Valentine units, but as far as the GPS comment goes, the radar detector blocks out only THAT specific frequency at that location so the odds of the police officer using the exact same frequency as an automatic door or whatever it may be is very low. In other words, it isn't an issue.

Then that's a change that Escort made since they first came out with that feature years ago because they specifically said then that it just muted that location. Whether it was a radar or a door opener, it didn't matter.

I was curious in that video why it appeared that the car was shaking with respect to the surroundings.

I didn't know that it was ever the case that it blocked out radar completely in that location but I know that at least with the Max II that is not the case any longer if it ever was. The car was running and I had my camera sitting on the window sill of the car. The v8 rumbles enough that it was moving the camera slightly, apparently
