Sorted out and daily driveable: this car has incredible low end torque and high end power but drives like stock and handles city streets, heavy traffic, and hot temperatures with ease: air, leather, sound system, all stock comfort equipment, etc., still in place.

Way too many additions and etc. to list. See pictures in the Gallery. Offers around $30-$35K. If truly interested, send me a message into my inbox on the forum's e-mail.

I don't think you're asking enough Lee. IfI hadthe spare dust,I would snatch it up. Good luck on a quick sale.

It's a reasonable price given the market. Yes, I'm losing a lot compared to the cost of the mods, etc., but then aperson should know they are essentially throwing away the money they spent on modifications. Heavily modified cars simply do not bring that much money. And I won't sell it for that price to just anyone: an inexperienced, immature 18 year old kid could lay$50K of Dad's money in front of me and he would still not be driving away in it:I'd just be contributing to his death and maybe others, too.

On the other hand, I might sell it for less to someone I thought was particularly responsible and a true car lover. Time will tell . . . .

Damn, if I didn't have my car I would jump on this ina second. If you would even sell it to me, like you said someone could lay $50k down and you wouldn't sell it.

Just remember my low ball offer of $20k is still on the table. I will even come pick it up. [8D]....... I can dream right!

I'd sell it to you, Chargedvette, but $20K is a bit low. Still, like I said money is not the object -- think of some who has a labrador retriever they love but realize is locked up in an apartment all day while they are at workand doesn't get to exercise enough/they don't do justice paying attention to it,and you have a better idea of my motives and thinking here.

I have someone who would pay me nearly$20K just for the engine, leaving me to install an LS6 crate motor for about $7K and then sell it as "stock" for around $20K-- but that's messy and would take time and I'm not sure how I feel about that.

I'm just going to see what happens in the next week or so, including to me thinking about really having to part with it. Stay tuned.

I wouldn't part the car out, that thing is a work of art. I bet you will easily get $30-35k for it. When your done thinking about it and if you decide to sell it put itupon auto trader.com for $40, it is run till it sells and your car would be gone in no time. Just remember, $20k and I will take it off your hands.[sm=happybounce.gif]

Can you drive this on pump gas (91 octane) or do you have to blend with race fuel ?? Is this set up as a short tour vehicle or can you hit the open road and put on some serious tour miles ??

Thanks,

RE: 2002 ZO6 427 SCR'd 703 RWHP

It runs on normal pump gas. If you run it on 103 octane race gas the ECM will respond with a bit more advance and another 20-25 RWHP, and if you open up the headers it will give another 20-25 on top of that, but its hardly streetable at that point (I run it on pump gas and with the mufflers at the track).

I suppose you could drive it cross country on a multi-day trip, but I'd want real road tires rather than drag radials on it before I'd go very far: never driven it more than about an hour (to a track) with them on it. Also, it takes two jacks and an extra fifteen minutes to change a rear tire with the 12-inch wide rear wheels and Lingenfelter tubbing kit/suspension modsat the rear -- and a rear tire will not fit in the trunk with the lid closed (I carry a minispare and the two jacks all the time). Makes a trip potentially a hassle. But back when I had narrower rims (10 inch) and BFG road tires on itI droveit back and forth from Raleigh to Charlotte a few times: drives like a normal car, even in traffic and on a hot day with the air conditioning on.

The car may be sold, by the way. Waiting to hear back from a potential buyer now.
