Fuel Injector Cleaner

Has anyone used BG44K in their Vette? I have used this product in different cars in the past (but no Vette) with very good results. I am thinking of trying a can to help clean the injectors. Thanks for the info and remember the wave!

I haven't tried it, but going to check out. My truck could use a good cleaning.

Haven't used it in an injected Vette, probably because I don't own one. :D The BG products and services are definitely good stuff though, and I would recommend them to anyone, in any car. My Vette should hit 220k miles soon on the original trans and block. I probably clean the engine and trans more than recommended, but ... I don't drive it lightly either. :D My Jags and Navigator have had BG services rolled into their dealer maintenance schedules. Consider what everyone thinks of (pre-2000) Jaguars and reliability. I have a total of 260k miles across 3 Jags (not driven at all lightly either), with the worst failure being a pair of wheel bearings. No trans or major engine work at all on any of them. Since I bought them used, the total mileage on them when I traded them in averaged over 100k. The Navigator has "only" about 75k on it, but so far nothing to report either.

I couldn't find my dash pic of my speedo at 140 with my tach reading 4k, but here is a pic of my old toy car sitting still. <sigh> No more of these with 3 rugrats running around the house!

RE: Fuel Injector Cleaner

BG has some good products. We have used them in my shop before. Whatever injector cleaner you put in your gas tank is merely a maintanance item. If you have injector problems (lean misfire, cold start hesitation), a proffesional injector clean uses much more effective cleaner that is more potent than the additive for the fuel tank. As a matter of fact, during a clean, we block off fuel tank and kill the fuel pump, then tie into the fuel rail as the cleaner kit uses regulated air pressure get proper fuel pressure so the car will run. Lots of times, if the car has really dirty injectors, we have had to change spark plugs as they sometimes will foul. Good Luck. ;)
