GAS GAUGE MALFUNCTION

MY GAS GAUGE SUDDENLY WENTA TO E AND INDICATING LOW FUEL LITE WENT ON WITH CHECK ABS,TRACTION CONTROL ETC BLINKING. CAN ANYONE HELP?

My fuel gauge also went to "E" today, with a display that reads "service fuel system". Wonderful, seeing as how the car only has 2000 miles on it.
