HELP!!! Coolant Leak
 

I have a '96 Collector Edition vette with the LT4 motor. Today I noticed a coolant leak which myself and my friend cannot tell where it is coming from. We even had the car up on a lift and couldn't see a leak. The temp gauge goes all the way up almost 260 degrees. Has anyone had a similar problem?, and if so what is the cause of the leak. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

I searched for months on my '87 for a leak. I could smell the coolant after driving for a while but couldn't figure out where it was comeing from or how I was getting air in the system. It would leak out about a quart evry 2-3 weeks. It turned out to be the heater valve. Very small leak with no sign at all. I finally had to let the car run while I watched as it became hot.
