Knock Module

I have a early 93 lt1 vette. My question is does it have a anti- knock module? If so can I upgrade it?

anti-knock sensor?

I'm sure LT1's got 'em...

What's the issue?

RE: Knock Module

:Dyes it has one, and no you dont want to "upgrade" it the reason its there is for detonation purposes, it retards your timing up to 22* depending on if it hears detonation(a result of your timing being too far advancedcausing the pre-ignition) other factors can contribute like heat and air density but not as often as timing:D

RE: Knock Module

one other thing i for got to mention, it is very sensitive(so sensitive in fact, that you can tap the block or exhaust with a small 6" screw driver and it will retart the timing) so im not sure what your getting at??? but i hope this helps you:D
