The miles per gallon vary depending on the model, transmission, and miles per gallon. The ratings listed on the Monroney are actually pretty relevant given the revised government test guidelines now in effect.

Mileage you actually get will depend on how you drive the thing, of course. Stock, my '02 ZO6 got 29 mpg at around 75 mph cruise on the highway, respectable but not outstanding, its the same I get from my '08 Lincoln MKZ (3.5 V6, two wheel drive version). I got 20 mpg in mixed highway and around town driving, and generally did not get into the throttle much. I expect newer 'vettes are not materially different. By hyper-miling: getting a tune that ran a tad leaner, accelerating at full throttle at very low RPMs in traffic and shifting at just below 2000 RPM, keeping the tires at the top end of the recommended pressure range, etc., I could improve the in-town results to 21-22 but it wasn't worth it I just did it occasionally to see what the result would be.
