Tire Sizes for Rims

I think I want to change my rims to some nice shiny ones. As I haven't got the budget to get new tires as well I intend to keep my stock tires and have them transferred over with the pressure sensors so I have a few questions:

I checked the tires I currently have and they are P275/40ZR18's on the rear and P245/45ZR17's on the fronts. The wheels I have my eyes on are 17 * 9.5's on the front and 18 * 10.5's on the rear. Will these tires fit? Also I was under the impression that the stock wheel sizes are 17 * 8.5's front and 18 * 9.5's on the rear. Can this be correct based on the tires size I have?

Also in changing over the sensors I already have will they require any recalibration or is it just a simple plug and play?

I was quoted $150 for changing the tires over and re-balancing, does this sound reasonable?

Thanks in advance.

James

These seem like a great deal, has anyone any experience with these guys?

Welcome James
The stock sizes you mentioned are correct. I'm not certain if the new wheels you want to put on will fit, but a good tir shop should be able to tell you this.
Does that $150.00 include installing and calibrating the tire pressure sensors? If so thats a pretty good price. I think the sensors will be just fine, since your not changing your tires.

I have dealt with Corvette Garage, and they are good people, and your right that is a great deal on those rims.

Thanks for the feedback, I don't think that the price included recalibration. I am sure I read somewhere else to as how you can do this without going to a dealer so if that was an issue I could have a stab first, get frustrated and then end up at the dealear - lol.

Nice stable if cars by the way!
