Trunk pops open and door unlocking (clicking noise)
 

I need help diagnosing my C5 98 automatic vette. I purchased it over a year ago. At the time the trunk was popping open and the door locks were clicking and unlocking. After taking it to the dealership it was found that the previous owners had installed heated seats and grounded them through the bcm through the trunk power. They rewired everything and it had been working fine ever since. Up until a month ago. It started happening again. We have since disconnected the heated seats all together and yet the door locks click and unlock and immediately following the trunk pops open. Normally this wouldn't be a huge issue but when the doors click/unlock, the lights inside the car come on and if it continues to click throughout the night it just drains the battery down. Before taking it back to the dealer and paying bucko bucks to diagnose, has anyone ever heard of this happening? I mean it sounds like a short of something but what specifically should we be looking at? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
