Well ive been a member on LS1TECH for a while and owned 5 camaro's so far. I finally decided to trade in my car for a 03 Z06. Its been my dream car since 01 just not able to afford it till now, amazing how cheap they are now. I think the only mods ill do to it is Short Shifter,Intake, Tune and Nitrous down the road. Hopefully ill love the car compared to my 01Z28.

Similar to my move up from a 98 Z28 to an 01 Z. Congrats on the move. you know, your thread is worthless without pics.:D

Your right. I signed the contracts and sent it back just need to go pick the car up. Not happy about a 7 hour drive. Ill post some pics when I get to work for sure.

I would turn that 7 hr drive into an event. Take the wife/girlfriend. Maybe make a stop along the way at a decent restaurant just to calm down and take the edge off. Nothing pricey, maybe a Panera Bread, Chilis or something like that. Youll be excited anyway and youll always have that memory of that first trek for that Z!!Attachment 1507

That is one beautiful z u got the c6z wheels look bad a**. Ive decided since im pulling the nitrous off my camaro im gonna install it on the z06. Im still looking into short shifters. I hate the rubbery clunky feel of stock shifter and not sure about the aftermarket modded z06 short shifters. Like the shifter to be really short and would like the option of taking the stick off and putting a shorter one like I did on my camaro.

Yeah,Im going with the short shifter myself later this summer, maybe the RSD Snap Shifter. As far as the C6Z wheels, personally it makes the car look newer. The original rims are okay, but, kinda dates the Z, IMO.

I do agree with you on the rims, your right. Well i did get the car and it drives fine i think. An audi mechanic had it, seems like he took good care of it some minor things but nothing major. For some reason im liking the exhaust not being loud, lol. Although it does look like he changed the tips on the exhaust.

Glad that there's no major issues and because the previous owner was a mechanic of high end cars, he probably treated the vette like gold. Exhaust wise, I did the SLP loudmouth.on my old Z28 and it was one of the worst decisions I ever made . Loud doesn't even describe it. When I bought the Z, shorty headers,hi flow cats running through the stock TI, it's slightly more aggressive sound, but I can hear myself talk and my neighbors don't hear me leaving/coming home.:D
