56 and 1st Corvette, 1999 Black 6 spd
Hello everyone. I've been scouring the forums for the past few weeks, prior to and since getting my 99. Thanks for all the suggestions on how to rid the IAT warning lights and suggestions on other interests. You all are an invaluable service to us NEWBYS to Corvette ownership. I liken it to past H-D owners who, like us, must learn to fix them if they ride, or drive them. I've always done all my own maintenance and servicing and have even built an engine or two. Growing up poor one must do for themselves what you can't pay others to do has always been my motto. I'm proud to be semi-self sufficient around autos, home and shop. Heck, the first day when I brought the car home I discovered a coolant leak. A water pump swap was the next days business as I was getting to know this beast. Doing the swap generated the IAT code because I had to disconnect those wires while removing the air intake. After reading and finding suggestions for replacing the plug or pig tail as a remedy. I ordered one, replaced it, and so that has been the answer. Now on to the traction control and speed sensor lights that will apparently require rear axle bearing hub assemblies because the speed sensors aren't replaceable. Thanks again for the help, then, now and future.
