Start-up after exhaust tip install, stock motor
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v...type=3&theater

Engine View: running with new cam "Mother Thumper", new distributer, new belts/spark plugs, etc. Running very rich. The cam has since been removed, we discovered the cam was too aggressive for the motor and it was replaced with a cam made for this particular model.

Start-up after new cam is installed....this is my problem. this was running a little rich as opposed to fully rich like with the mother thumper cam. I ordered a new programmed chip, and after putting the chip in, its running fully rich again like before with the mother thumper cam in it. did the opposite of what it was supposed to do.

Welcome to the forum.

I would think that you'd have to reprogram the ECM for a radical cam change.

We bought a new programmed chip for the computer with all the cam specs on it. We think someone within the company wasn't doing their job as we have found out the guy who we originally spoke with about the car, is no longer working there. Go figure. The new guy told us we should be getting 11" of vacuum and we're only getting 8-10. So far a new chip has been ordered and we thought before it might need a new map sensor, so we ordered anyway, just in case. I'll post more when I know more. Thanks for the tip.
