Hi Guys,
I'm new to the forum and pretty much new to Corvettes in general although I've spent a little time underneath a few Pontiacs. We've had a '65 GTO, '66 Tempest and LeMans (these are all gone), and my wife still has what was originally her Dad's '66 GTO convertible. We also have a 2007 C6 and a '68 C3 (L79) that I will be asking LOTS of questions about shortly. It was in a shop for about 6 months getting the engine compartment back as close to stock as possible and make it safe (brakes were shot, suspension really iffy for a car that had an off the frame restoration at one time.

The goal with that car is to return it to "nearly stock" without breaking the bank so we can drive it. By that I mean things like we kept the replacement heads and rebuilt them instead of looking for 291/292 heads (the replacements at least had 2.02 intake valves in it), but found original manifolds and removed the headers, installed a replacement Rochester carb, correct air cleaner, all painted up right, etc.. At some point I'll toss some pics on here but I just wanted to introduce myself before I start asking stupid questions so you guys won't be too hard on me. ;) Looks like a good page, for the record. I've been lurking for a few weeks now.
