We just got this 1986 Corvette from a trade, in which we gave the previous owner a 1982 Chaparral 238. It came with quite a few parts since the intake needs re-assembled. According to the odometer, it has a little over 166,000 miles on it.

 

Congrats on your trade. Whats your plans with this one? Fix it or flip it a little of both?

We're fixing it up and keeping it to drive, which will definitely be often, since my mom is going to use it to get to and from work. If I remember to take pictures, we're going to have a binder of the process of us fixing it up to have with us at local car shows.

My problem with pictures is... I only take them when disassembling and never seem to take any on the reassembly side, which produces so much better pictures.

 

Will do! We had to buy a few parts, such as the distributor cap and coil, distributor hold down bracket, and although we have a few different torx bit sizes, we had to buy a set to re-assemble it. We got most of it put back together last night, we had got on the manifold and the runners, as well as the distributor. Since the previous owner had replaced one of the pushrods (the old one was bent) but didn't tighten them back down, we had to do that.
