Looking for first Vette in Oklahoma

I am looking for my first vette. Like most folks, the funds are limited. I have about 8000.00. What can I expect to find in this price range and what is my most reliable year to consider. Your wisdom is appreciated.

Thanks

RE: Looking for first Vette in Oklahoma

This depends on whether you want to come away with a car that is spotless and ready to hit the car show scene, or if you want to have a project car of sorts. I looked around on Kelley Blue Book, and for a 1985 Corvette, Loaded, in excellent condition, with 50,000 miles, the suggested retail price is 7,800. I am fairly certain that if you looked into an odler model, such as a C3 (1968-1982), ESPECIALLY an L48 package, youll pay less than 7,800.
