LS1 Upgrade to C4 Vette

I was on line tonight and was looking for pictures of 1991 Corvettes when I came across some photos of a 1987 Corvette with a 1997 LS1 motor. I have talked to others in the past and was told that it was not possible due to the amount of modifications that had to be done. In 2003 I accidentally hydro locked my motor going through a puddle that looked about 3” deep when in fact it was 18” and turned my beautiful Corvette motor into a wet vacuum. I had a replacement motor put in but it is not the same. Anyway I saw this and it is possible I would like to know what is involved in this kind of upgrade. The transmission I am sure will need to be changed, will the computer interface with the cars other systems such as the ABS breaks, the dashboard, etc. Any information would be helpful...

Sincerely,
Peter Andolfi

theres no point... you have an lt1 right? that motor has alot of potential... just use the money to mod the engine you have and you will get alot more pleasure out of it at alot less cost... heads, cam, intake, headers, full exhaust, hell maybe even a supercharger and youll be WAY more impressed...
