hello my name is lon bishop and i own a 1976 c3 corvette that sat in a field 15 years ,,,it belonged to the famos knife master http://www.jackcrainknives.com/jwcrain.htm and i have ben restoring it back to running condition ben a long road of part serching and hard work i rebuilt the rear end then the trans and now the motor had to go thru it all but its a cool ride they say his knives are like gold maby his car would be too someday

Any word on why he left it in a field for 15 years?

well he suposably broke the drivers side half shaft then he lost the keys the guy i got it from got it from him to re-do but lack of money stoped him on the restore he did put new carpet in it and a new half shaft and all new brakes and calipers i found it on crags list for 4000.oo so i got it

plus i do all of my own work saving me thousands of dollars he couldnt do that i rebuilt the trans ,motor and rebuilt the rear end and i will repaint it too back to same oringial yellow with the 1976 rainbo stripe love that look cant beat the 70's look

i was in shock to find solid frame nice shape for being in a feild 15 years

it has a bit over 50,000 miles on it and still has # matching motor in it to

i know the miles is right becouse of no ridge on cyl walls when i redid it
