New 2003 C5 50th owner...
 

Although Corvettes have been in my family my entire 45 years, I was blessed with one last night. My mom always had a Vette... ALWAYS.. My dad bought her last one, a 2003 50th in the metallic smoked grey (sorry don't know the exact color "name" yet) brand new. She passed away in 2006 and he's kept it.. always saying to me "You'll get this when I croak". Well lets just say last night when I got home from the office, I drove up and saw my wife's SUV parked in the street. Odd.. seeing as we have a 3 car garage. So I pulled in and the one garage started opening. There was my mom's vette in my garage. Not thinking anything of it because my dad was supposed to come over last night, when everyone was standing in the garage to get my reaction, I was like "Where's my dad, in the house?"

It was then that wifey told me that he'd dropped it off earlier that day and that it was officially mine. I nearly died. I cried like a little girl and she has it all on video now. Whatever.. My love for this car in particular and what it means to me is amazing. Mind you it only has just under 35,000 miles. Yeah I'm stoked to say the least.

So yeah.. I'm glad to be here and looking forward to eventually passing it on to my son. Looking to learn a lot about these series.
