Interesting fact: I traded the ring my ex-wife threw at me for it....cool huh? Also Iwould like to say what a great site. I know I will learn a lot and hope I can help some too. cheers, George/Blueshark

Welcome. Glad to hear you have a good 'vette but sorry to hear you had spouse troubles. However, 'vettes tend to attract members of the opposite sex, although my experience and observation is that they are not always the type the end up being good for you.

Welcome to the site. I have to say that is the first time I have heard about somebody trading a ring for a car.

Don't tell my new wife that. she won't let me drive it. I'm not looking anyway. I already found the girl of my dreams without the 'Vette. Life is good. I thought the ring for the 'Vette was a good trade too.

Welcome. Do what I did and buy one to rebuild for my wife. She loves it. We just celebrated our 34th anniversary. :D:D

Thanks to all for the great reception. Mech259, congrats on staying married for 34 years, you must have found a wonderful woman. I think I did this time too.
Since my new '87 coupe didn't really cost me anything but a ring collecting dust, I have been looking for another. Just need to collect some more "dust". There is one almost identical in the classified section from the katrina floods.
Like I said before it is cool to now belong to the "Fraternal Order Of 'Vette Owners" Cheers to all, George, Blueshark

Hello my friend, welcome to,yes the brother(sister)hood.Nothing like driving a Vette, isn't it?I have a 96 that I love as much as I hope you love yours soon.I am sorry marital things haven't been the best,we've all been there. But at least I got my Vette WAY after my divorce!!Seriously,I have no children and am all alone, but at least having that one nice thing gets you through quite a lot.Congratulations on your 87.Always enjoy and may God Bless always.
