New corvette owner looking for answer
 

Hi guys and gals. I'm a corvette owner for the first time and came across an unknown switch and looking for help as to what it is. It is located under the dash near the hood release lever. It has an o in the center, - on one side and = on the other. Does anyone know what this is for? I have looked all through the manual and on the 'net but cant find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

You didn't say what year the car is. The switch could be for anything but because of the location it could be for lights under the hood or a hidden kill switch for security. Best bet would be to start the car in the drive way and turn the switch on and of to see if anything happens. Check under the hood and see if lights go on or off, if it is not in the manual it probably isn't factory So it may remain a mistery for ever. Raypdq
