new and in need of help
Hello everyone,
I have a 73 conv. that i have worked on alot. Am having trouble with the ignition starter switch. I can bolt it on now problem but the directions say there is a lock pin i need to remove after instalation and i have no idea where this is at. I hope to get a lot of help on here, from what i have seen in the past there are alot of great people here Thanx |

I have a '73 as well. If you can post a picture of the switch installed perhaps I can compare it to mine and we can locate the pin to be removed. I'll check mine out tomarrow and see what I can see. I looked in my shop manual and could not find anything.

Are you referring to the tumbler or the whole assembly? Is your switch on the column?

There is a lock pin that you must remove to take the old switch out. Does yours have a telescoping s/w? You have to pull wheel, retainer, steeering wheel lock plate, turn signal switch to take out the pin.
