Pigs are flying

After years and years of making fun of Corvette owners, I finally ended up owning one... Goes to show you, be careful who you make fun of because you will eventually be that guy :)

So, owned a lot of cars over the few short years the government has enabled me to drive, just finished college and wants to get a car with a good chassis, a 4 spd, and cost under $5,000

Well, I founda few '78-82 Vettes that fit the bill (love the fastback glass SO much better than the notch back) and settles on a 1981 with 70K original miles for $5,500.

Needs paint and cleaned up, but its all there! So weird seeing an '80's car with ALL of its vacuum lines still hooked up.

Not the greatest pic, but it will work, its actually Frost Beige, with red fiberglass T tops (HA! anyone got glass tops that don't cost a thousand bucks??)

Welcome to CF! :)
If you must go for the glass (actually a polimer *sp?*)T-tops, hang on to the fiberglass ones. They are an item that has good value, and you don't want to hav'ta replace them later on. They are sought after by many thieves, so there must be quite a market for them.
