Another great Monday. Forgot to roll up the windows all the way in the Neon last night when it rained. Rice ride to work this morning.

it's actually about 48 hours for me, but who's counting. I've actually had a change in my job description, so now i sit in front of this computer working on updating permits, and procedures, YIPPPEeeeeeeee But hey i look at the bright side, computer? a little spare time?, and guess what, a little internet activity... LoL |

My shop is in my backyard...I can't even call-in. I have to go out of town and work just to get a break. Atleast I get to drive the 'Vette.

Well, i dont know about you guys, but i work 40 hour work weeks, get overtime if i want to and sometimes i get it without working it. Sometimes i get 40 hours when i didnt work it. And i have about all the vacation and sick time i want. Apparently my company could care less if you go into the negatives with vacation... LOL. But, i still go to work 5 days a week and i try and work a saturday every once in a while to get a little extra money and to show that im a "Company Man". I like my job but i would much rather own my own business or have a business partner and co-own the business. I know it would be a lot more work and a lot more hours, but once you get your company established and everything, you kinda just sit back on the riches and let other people do the work for you while you are just the face of the company!

What! Only 40 hours till the weekend, a welder, a three day week, a drive in your Vette at lunch, an office with a computer, a Saturday once in a while, a two dollar raise. I drive a water truck, I work about 36 hours in three days, I deliver thousands of gallons of water and I get 50 cents a year raise, oh did I mention that the A/C on the truck went out in July. You guys have jobs to die for. Petes 74 T Top.

Haha, thanks Dave! Trust me, come tomorrow, this Arkansas native country boy is gonna be givin someone some hell! Theres no way im gonna let anyone pull a fast one on me. I found out from the Corvette Specialist i took it to, that either their prices are VERY high... or they charged me about an extra $2000 for the rebuild! That doesnt sound liek customer satisfaction to me.

I am going to the place that worked on my car tomorrow to b**ch and complain to them that they are the scum of the earth and that they are the biggest idiots in the world! I have oil in my spark plug holes. It isnt coming from the valve covers so it has to be coming from inside the block. If thats the case, then SOME IDIOT put it back together wrong or something broke that shouldnt have broken. And i havent had the thing over 70 since ive had it back. I dont "gun it" at the lights, i dont rev my engine for no reason, i basically have babied the engine since i got it rebuilt and there is ABSOLUTELY no reason why this should be happening. So, anyway, im done complaining. I will talk to you guys later. Matt What the hell were those guys smokin' before they started to wrench on your car??? I just can't believe what I just read here.... man, dude, you might even have a legal issue here on your side. I saw in that other thread that you are now working with a real Vette mechanic? I hope so, bro. This makes me incredibly angry for you, that you've gone through all this... not to mention the TIME it all took! Just to get it back in that condition.... I do not like lawyers and suing people etc. I hate to fight with people, but seriously Matt.... this has gone from the sublime to the ridiculous in no time flat.
