my observations on the wave
as a female vette driver I see that other femals DO NOT wave back, men always wave but women do not...seems I do see more male driven vettes than female, but I've been paying close attention lately when I wave & the women just look the other way. Maybe they're not aware of the tradition, or maybe it's just a female/female thing. Regardless, men all I have to say is...you guys are great, I love ya!!

RE: my observations on the wave
I've noticed the same thing, I don't know if they are snobs, or think I'm tryin' to "hit" on 'em. I'm generally a nice guy and I just try to be friendly. Besides, I'm happilly married!;)

RE: my observations on the wave
Well at first i was waving, but that I started feeling a little funny, cause it seemed like only about 1/2 the people were waving back. Even had some guys look at me, like i was invading their space or something, but Hey, I just wait a little longer for the "wave" now, and If I see it coming, I'm waving back.

RE: my observations on the wave
I passed 23 various 'Vettes on the way home from Mo. last friday and recieved only about 11 waves, right at half. Most were C5's with one beautiful C3 and a few C4's. Also saw two car carriers in KY. loaded with spankin' new 'Vettes and both drivers waved. All that bling on one truck....weeeeeooo!

They might not know the tradition. I didnt at first, my dad had to tell me.

RE: my observations on the wave
I have made it a habit to wave at every Vette that I pass. Even if they don't wave back I figure that one day after they keep having Vette drivers wave at them that they will finally catch on and start returning the gesture.

RE: my observations on the wave
That is a great question vette girl. I have always waved and for some reason several times the women did not return the wave. Lands, guys are normally waving like crazy around here. I was beginning to wonder is it me or what. I have to admit the guys always wave, even when I'm on the road, people in their regular cars are always waving. Feel like I have to keep an extra eye out for wavers as I surely don't want them to think I am ignoring them. We were on the interstate last weekend in the 62 and hubby said, I'll drive and you take care of the wavers. Here's waving to all of you.
