Risk Compensation

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Risk_compensation

Do any of you think that you have experienced this due to the increased performance and handling qualities of your vette? I think that I have. I've pulled out in front of cars on the highway knowing that I can be up to speed in a very short time. I've made other moves like going too fast around a turn knowing that the active handling will save me if I lose control.

have any of you experience this?

RE: Risk Compensation

Yup, my F-250 with a 460 can pull on just about anything. ( and there ain't much that would be able to take it out in a fender-bender ) I admit that I'm a little over confident sometimes. :eek:It ain't squat in the twisties, that's what the "Starship" is for. ;)What you are referring to, is what I call, "The Razor's Edge".
Go over that edge, and you can get cut, bad. [&o]

I think we all are guilty of this, I guess its part of being human and having a false sense of security.
