Slow Corvette sales to result in plant shutdowns through July
Two years ago, the Chevrolet Corvette plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky housed 1,000 workers – that number is now down to 400. In order to align production with demand, those workers that remain will reportedly be getting much more time off as General Motors is idling the plant for two weeks every month for the next four months.

Hey aimie I know the feeling. We here at Powertrain, in Ypsilanti, MI, once had over 14,000 employees working here. We are now down to just a little over 1,200, which will be reduced to almost half by the end of July. It truly is sad to see everything continue to spiral downward.
