Smokin
Thinking about firing up the Ole smoker this weekend, if weather permits.Thinking about a couple of boston butts, a slab ortwo of pork ribs, a yard bird or two. Would love to hear someyour favorite marinating recipes. I've tried the premixed marinades from the grocery store, there alright, but was wanting to try something different this time. Wish some of you guys lived closer, you could help us eat it all.:D

Out here in Nevada, I like to smoke meats with Mountain Mahogany. I don't think y'all have it back East. My boss is from Mississippi. Kinda turned his nose up at the thought, " ...can't see usin' furniture to smoke meats.:D". Well, he loses, it's a great flavor. ;)

RE: Smokin
I've ever heard of using mahogany before, down here in the back woods of south Georgia we like use oak, and I like to add a little mesquite in with it. I end up smelling like a fireplace in the end, but manit's worth it. ;)
