quieting the car down

Some people like to have very loud pipes and stuff but I'd like this car to be jet black and asp-like. When you turn around I want you to be surprised since you didn't hear me.

What kind of exhaust whill help me accomplish this? I know a good tune up etc will help quiet the engine down..

but what about insulating the car hood? what do I use for that.

So much I don't know about these cars.

RE: quieting the car down

Well, I went to home depot because I hate the loudness inside the car but I put up with it because the loudness on the outside is nice because it turns peoples heads. Go to Home Depot or Lowes or another hardware store and go to the I believe its teh Air conditioing heating section. They have for 5 dollars a roll to 15 dollars a roll depending on the brand and thickness. Its the stuf that goes around your hot water heater. Not the sleeves but padding. You could try that under the hood but I would suggest in the firewall. I am using all this under my carpet and in the doors. Let me check on some exaust pipes and mufflers. I will get back to you with a set-up if I can find one and see if its what your wanting.
