350Z vs Porsche
I was at a light coming home from work Friday when a white 350Z convertible pulled up alongside. Obviously modified (drivers side window post had three instruments, aftermarket exhaust, etc). We went 0 -65 on the highway from two lights and it was an absolute dead heat -- my little Porsche got a hood length out in front but it never could shake the Z, either. I was impressed -- even though the Porsche is relatively anemic for a Friday night cruiser (13.5ish quarter mile), I would expect a stock 350Z convertible to lag by about a three-five lengths in the quarter and this one, half way there, was hanging within a single missed shift. The performance means something around 360 HP for the Z which almost certainly means a blower and about 6 lbs boost, but regardless, it was a neat car, whover it was.

RE: 350Z vs Porsche
Well, the shirts might not fit but it will be somewhat lower down -- at least my wife claims I eat too much.
Would have been fun (and it was tempting) to run on up to speed with this guy but the limit was 60 and I didn't want to go too fast. |
RE: 350Z vs Porsche

RE: 350Z vs Porsche
Yeah, but I wasn't. I was fun though, and I made his day: him working hard but just hanging with a Porsche costing over twice as much as his Z, even counting his mods..
