I was just wondering if it is true that only a State Trooper can pull you over for not having a front tag? I was told that a while ago, and coincidentally the 2 times I have been pulled over and ticketed for no front tag it was by a State Trooper, all the county cops seem to just pass me by.

Hve never been hastled by state guys but Howard County got me twice. Went to court once and got a PMS'ing judge who didn't care that my plate was visible on the passenger visor said she wanted it on the front of the car. 45.00 plus court costs.

What a chicken**** ticket to give. When I was a LEO, I used the "no front plate" as probable cause for any suspicious vehicle. But I never wrote a ticket for it unless there was a good reason.
