I have a 2007 Z-51 Vette and was wondering how much of a difference it is Vs. a stock C6? What improvements are noticable and in what areas ? Is it worth the extra cost or would mods on a stock vette give you more bang for the buck? Just curious.

Thanks. Anyone else want to weigh in on the Z-51 package option ? My dad has a 2005 C6 with select a ride suspension and did quite a bit of racing in his younger years. He has driven mine and claims he can tell a big difference. I am not so sure and wanted to see what you guys thought. I am not as tech savy as some and don't really have the time to do my own mods so I guessI wondered how the Z-51 upgrades compared to aftermarket stuff.

For what it’s worth, it comes down to personal preference. I’ve had vettes both with and without the stiffer suspension. My ‘05 C6 has the Z51 package. I prefer the handling and ride that you get. Some people prefer a softer ride. You could go for the select ride control if you plan to actually use it. I have friends who have that option, and after they found the ride they liked the most (and the novelty wore off), they never switch positions. But, if you ever plan to compete, it’ll come in handy.
