I am trying to solve a 1961 Corvette tail light wiring problem. Can you help?

When looking at the 61 corvette wiring diagram of the light switch, are thecolor coded wiresindicatedfor the light switch male posts or the connector blockview fromthe female connecting side of the connection block or for the top view of the connection block of wires?

Any experience you have with this questions will be greatly appreciated.
