Is there something I missed in the manual that would require "pumping" the clutch in my '02 ZO6 3 times before the starter will engage? Once started, everything else seems ok.
This behavior just started today.

your clutch must be depressed (disengaged)in order to start your car, its a built in safety feature.Although i havent looked up under the dash of a vette recently, most cars have a switch on the pedal assembly that is opened and closed each time you depress and release the clutch pedal. after half a bazillion stabs of the clutch pedal over your cars life, the switch tends to wear out and stick. although i havent looked up at my pedal assembly im 99% sure thats what your problem is.take a look up there for the switch and see if its sticking. adjust or replace it as necessary. you can also bypass it by uplugging both wires from the switch and either joining them or leaving them separate but uplugged (tape the ends up) but you of course will be disabling a safety feature that is on your car for a reason.

Well, I have a resolution to the mystery - turned out to be the BCM (the clutch switch is just fine by the way). I have some very interesting info from one of the engineers at Bowling Green about the BCM failure that I haven't seen mentioned on the forums so far. I'll start a separate thread about it
