i have a 05 z51 w/transparent roof that squeeks. i tried taking it to the dealer but it came back with the same problem. any suggestions will be greatly appreciated......thanx

greetings. i had a c5 coupe, and now an "06c6 z51 coupe. i have had squeaky roofs, and here is what i know for sure: from time to time these roofs need adjustment. it is the quality of your mechanic that determines how good of an adjustment that you get. if you got a lousy job, you had a lousy mechanic. if your service manager won't step up, go to another dealer. gm also has a service bulletin out on the roof handles. my dealer just replaced mine for free when i complained about my last squeaky roof issue. another thing that you can do is apply a thin coat of silicon on the rubber seals. this will make for a better performance of your seals, and make them last longer, as well.
