I was actually a member here for some time now but the site seems to have lost it's records of me so I reloaded my info.

I'm in the process of buying a 2006 3LT Z51 with auto/paddle shifter and Power convertible top and Nav radio. It's pretty much loaded with the exception of the f55 package for the magnetic shocks.

I'm coming from a 1994 1LT plain Jane convertible with auto trans, all I can say is wow what a car this new one is, It's light years above the 1994.

I previously owned an 1985 with the Doug Nash 4+3 abomination of a transmission. Loved the car hated that trans.

So anyway now that we have some history covered I have a few questions about the 2006 C6 and any problems I should be looking for? I did tell the dealer to check for the fuse box recall that plagued many of the C6's and sure enough mine needs it done. I wonder though if they actually fixed the problem or if they are just sticking new boxes in that will just fail later? I'm planning to ask the dealer for the old box when they replace it and fix it myself. Then I'll have a backup spare just in case.

Anyway let me know what your thoughts are, I sure love driving this thing. I've had it all weekend after we agreed on a fair price Friday afternoon and I can't wait to make it actually mine.
