Hi. I have been on the C6 site a few times, but this is my first visit to the solid axle site. I have a 61 that I am contemplating putting in a Tremec 5 spd and also A/C. Does anyone have any experience with these? I know there are several companies offering both of these, so is one better than another? How does Classic Auto Air compare with Hot Rod Air and others. Classic Motorsports offers a complete 5 spd kit for about $3200. Seems like a lot. Suggestions? Thanks, Ken

 

I don't have first hand experience with either modification but from advertisement it looks like the $3200.00 tranny swap is inline if not just a tad lower than most.
