Default Valve Covers

My 66 vette is numbers matching, however it is a 300 HP 327 and my car has L79 valve covers. I really like these aluminum covers and was wondering if I should change them out to the orange metal ones? I don't plan to do any NCRS shows in the near future?

I would stay with what you have. They are also quiter, as they are thicker material. You can always get the steel one when you go full original. Dale

I think the best looking valve cover for a mid year car is the aluminum ones that came on the higher HP cars,,They dont have an oil hole which you dont need and at least they are period correct..Stroker

The best looking covers are the mid year higher HP ones,,They dont have an oil fillerhole which you dont need and look very period correct (63-67). I have the 327-365HP and with these covers it looks like a 327 not a 350.....Stroker
