Default 1974 C3 Need help identifying wires under the hood, please!

You guys have given me a warm welcome, and some great advice so far, so forgive me for being "needy" but I have to dip into the vast well of your knowledge yet again!
(And I am sure this is only the beginning!)

Today while trying to get the windshield washer working (And I was successful, it was a broken hose from the fluid canister. And why am I working on something relatively trivial? Because when I am successful in fixing something it motivates me to take on another challenge!)), anyway.......I discovered a couple wires that are disconnected and I can't fpor the oife of me find where they would go!
Can you guys take a look at these pics and steer me in the right direction?

One is on the passenger side under the hood, the other on the driver side.....

I'm just guessing on both but from their location the tan wire could be for the carburator electric step up idle if it still has one, the left front of the carb solenoid. They were used either for anti-dieseling or A/C idle bump up. The wire by the heater looks as it should hook to the HVAC blower motor, black is - ground the orange or red should be + to the motor terminal is my guess with researching it.

Everything except the drivers window is working, but something tells me neither of these wires is the problem.......can't think of anything else!.....oh wait, come to thin k of it, discovered the brake lights aren't working today, but again, not thinking it's either of these wires! So if you could take a look when you get home, MUCH appreciated!!

I'll check for the step up idle....the hvac fan is working, poorly, but working.

The window motor has two wires going to it. The power to the motor switches polarity from the window two way switch that makes it go up and down, that's all contained inside the cars cabin, (except the front turn signals) same with the brake lights. Always start with the fuses, (stop has its own fuse) then the foot pedal switch for operation. From there it goes up into the turn control switch, you can move the turn lever around with your foot on the brake pedal for lights try it with the key off then on to see what happens. turn signal switches can lose continuity over the years. Check and see if the brake light bulbs are good and have good continuity in their socket with a Good Ground.

I lowered the 77 today (it sits on a lift with a cover on it so I can park the Silverado under it) its not always easy to go out and check the wiring) So to work on the HVAC blower relay and noticed the brown wire on the 77 goes to the high pressure switch going to the a/c compressor clutch. That wire should be hot when the a/c is turned on. It's directly above the right front tire on the inner fender. It should be close to a 74.

On both of my '73s the drivers side wire goes nowhere.the passenger side looks like it connects to a resistor/condenser looking guy that goes to the heater motor.

That resistor jumper wire on the blower motor was GMs answer to the blower motor whinne looks just like a points condenser with a wire going through it, It helped sometimes. along with the metal cover over the distributor. Then there was the alternator whinne. THeir was a period of time that am FM radios were a real pain for Gm.

Guys,
Sorry I haven't responded sooner....the last thing I want any of you to think is that I don't appreciate the responses and advice and insight......the last couple days though I wound up working on an "indoor" project.....one of my 1950's Seeburg jukeboxes decided it no longer wants to work with the remote wallbox I have.....as usual with these 70 year jukes, one day they work fine, then for no apparent reason, they just don't! Anyway, been trying without success to pin down why in time for my kids coming to visit tomorrow since they like to play the jukes, but they'll have to enjoy them without using the wallboxes, which is no bid deal at all.

Back to the subject at hand HERE!

So, on my last visit under the hood to try to track down where these errant wires should be connected, I found yet ANOTHER "mystery" wire, connected to nothing and just hanging down on the driver's side neat the steering column. (PIc attached) And another mystery....on the driver's wheel wheel under the hood, I found two screw holes where there was obviously something mounted at one time,, looks like long ago! Any idea what it might have been, or what this additional "wire to nowhere" is supposed to do? I can't find anything missing a connector!
Thanks again for looking at these pics, and I really do appreciate any insight, and hope at some point to be able to offer something of value in return for all your help!

Yet another mystery wire....

Same mystery wire from a different angle.

What was mounted here at one time??
