Heck, I wanna see a couple of dozen Vettes pull up in the yard. I'll find room for 'em all.
Be here this Saturday, at 7 am for breakfast, Mrs. Starship is a great cook.

Mrs. Starship says, "7:00?, they'd be here just in time to do dishes. Make it 6, and there will be plenty of high test available."

(The starship not the wife)No offence mrs. starship!! Dave needs to concentrate now, he is so close. Have a good one talk at ya later

Hot cakes, you'll get an omlet with mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, bell peppers, avacado, and lots of cheese. Irish potatoes and 4 strips of bacon on the side, with cracked wheat toast and black berry jelly. Wash it down with 16 oz. of milk and 8 oz. of orange juice. And all the high test you can drink.

Man I'm full just reading about it. Hey I just checked the map, it will take me about 20Hours to get there from here. You best start without me!!!I will get down there one day, thats for sure.Unfortunatly not this weekend. All the best in the fire up. I'll be sitting on the front porch listening for it. Best to the mrs. asI am sure she gives you lots of support.

A little tip,
When installing the fuel pump, remove the plug at the bottom of where the pump mounts, pull the pump push rod, and give it a good coating of grease. Now reinstall it and the plug.Push the rod up as far as it will go, the greasewill make the push rod stay up in place, so you can get the pump to mount.

So, I'm puttin' stuff on the block and guess what? The pully that goes on the crank won't fit. [sm=headbang.gif]Wrong motor mounts, or find a smaller diameter pully, damn! The front of the engine sits too low to allow the pully to fit.

No matter, I can keep hookin' stuff up this weekend and get new mounts on Monday.

Keep the faith brother. It'll come together. I knew a guy that made a 350/454 swap and he said you wouldn't believe how many little things there were that were different and you wouldn't think of them. [] Guess he was right. Hang in there.

I went the other way with an engine swap in my '84 crew cab, from 454 to a 350. The only thing I did was swapped the motor mounts from left to right and it sat right in place. the fan did'nt set as far into the shroud as with the big block but with the stock 4 row radiator the 350 had no heating issues.
