O. K., It's Saturday and soon I'll be rollin' around in the dirt, doin' the final connections under the "Starship".
Besides the instal, I've been curing what 69sharkcoup descibes as "Bubaitis".
I found missing bolts, mismatched bolts, excesive use of washers used on bolts that were too long, and basic "Buba" engineering.
Oh, and that's not all.......
When I get up top, there is a plethera of issues to deal with.
I'll let y'all know how the days progress has gone. I'll take some pics too.
Baby your Baby, and keep the Bubas away.[:@]

Well, basicly, it's in.
Just clutch linkage, and starter left to do underneith.
When I go to change to the 3sp w/od, I'll dismantle the front u-joint assem., and re-instal new u-joint after I put the tranny in. I think now, that it would have been easier than what I just delt with.
Now it's up top.......
New vaccuum lines, to and from carb, dif mounts for the power steering and alt.
Seriously "Bubaized" wiring. Would ya believe, Buba used a piece, out of an ol' extention cord, for the wiring to the windsheild wipers?, and there are other wiring issues too.
First things first though, I wanna hear her pop, just once! That way, I'll know she can run. Next, onto the perrifrial issues.

My "Parts Man" came through with the new Block Hugger headers today.
Now a trip to the parts store for new bolts, gaskets, and "Cherry Bombs".

Way to go C3Starship, I enjoy your progress reports, you have tackled a big project and your coming along real well. I give you a lot of credit, it's a lot of work and your doing it all by yourself, that will just make it that much more fun. PG

Thanks pg.
I gotta give some credit to my Dad though. When I went to build my first stock car, he told me he wouldn't help, 'cause I needed to know as much as possible about my car, and how it's put together. I think, he thought that I'd either give up or succeed. Idid pick his brain pretty good though. Well, Dad's gone now, but he taught me a lot.

.....will just make it that much more fun? Hey Bro, it's all good! [sm=icon_rock.gif]

What are you gonna' do up top with the wiring and vacuum, just gut it all and start over? Are you eventualy puttin' all the accessories back in or running with the minimum equiptment to make it drivable? Your making big strides now, I can just about feel the ground shake from here.

Right now, I just wanna drive 'er!
I'm looking into harness options for the accessories, and the vaccuume lines will def need to be replaced.

I just got home from the parts store. GOODIES, have I!
Stainless steel header bolts, flange bolts, carb studs and nuts, copper flange gaskets, and two bright red "Cherry Bombs.
Saturday is goin' to be lots of fun. Wish y'all were here, but then again, I don't want any interuptions. It's gettin' serious now.

Awww, come on, we won't interupt, please, please, pretty please, can't we come over and help, we won't get in the way or break anything ( well maybe just twist a driveshaft or sompin' real minor). I wanna' see Mrs. starships eyes when a couple dozen vettes pull up in the yard and comence to wrenchin' on the Starship.
