69 style side pipe insulators needed

Welcome to the forum.

That was over forty years ago but to the best of my recollection, I took some 1" X 1/4" aluminum bar stock and bent it to conform to the outer covers then mounted them the same as the insulator shells would be.
Did you did you paint between the ribs with the dark grey metallic paint like the originals? Or are yours already painted?

Thanks, mine are original chrome some paint still visible between the ribs. Above average drive quality.
